Family Enterprise Advisory
We work with multigenerational business-owning families and families of wealth — helping them strengthen relationships, clarify shared values, and prepare each generation to carry their legacy forward.
Our Approach
Genoa Wealth is a boutique advisory firm serving multigenerational families. Our work spans two areas that belong together: managing family assets with care and integrity, and helping families build the relationships, structures, and shared understanding that allow wealth to endure across generations.
As a registered investment advisor, we manage portfolios on a transparent, flat-fee basis — with a fiduciary obligation to always act in your family's interest. Alongside that, we work with families on governance, communication, succession, and next-generation education. We also coordinate with your existing legal and tax professionals, serving as a consistent point of connection across your advisory team.
We work with a select number of families, and every engagement is shaped around what that family actually needs.
"Money is the common thread that ties the family enterprise across generations. The family's understanding of money's purpose can be the difference between success and failure."

Who We Serve
The families we work with are accomplished and thoughtful. They come to us in times of transition or crisis, or simply because they don't know how to begin the legacy conversations and implement their wishes.
In every case, the underlying goal is the same: they want harmony. They want their values and purpose to carry forward — not just their assets. And they are looking for a trusted guide to help lead their family through what comes next.
Who We Are
Randy and Beatrice Waesche are a father-daughter advisory team dedicated to helping families remain united, purposeful, and well-prepared as they navigate the complexities of generational wealth.
Randy is a seasoned advisor who works closely with founders and wealth creators to protect their legacy, clarify their goals, and implement the structures that will endure beyond them. With more than 34 years guiding family enterprises through succession, ownership transition, and leadership change, he brings strategic depth and hard-won experience to the families he serves. A published researcher and FFI Fellow, his work on the role of money within the family enterprise is recognized by the Family Firm Institute, the global authority on the subject.
Beatrice works with families to strengthen communication across generations, build shared understanding, and ensure that every family member feels informed and engaged. Her work spans next-generation coaching, family meeting facilitation, and the development of governance frameworks that reflect a family's actual values. She brings a grounded, personal approach — listening carefully, asking the right questions, and helping families have the conversations that matter most. Her own experience within a family enterprise gives her a particular understanding of the dynamics that arise between generations, and the patience those dynamics require.

Focuses on the structure and relationships that keep a family business healthy across generations — governance, family councils, succession planning, and navigating the conflict that naturally arises when family and business life intersect.
Focuses on families where wealth is the center of the enterprise — whether through a family office, shared investments, or philanthropy. Covers how those families make decisions together, structure oversight, and preserve both wealth and relationships across generations.

We take the time to understand what your family is experiencing and what you want to achieve, then present a plan tailored to you. The services below represent what we typically offer, but our approach is always shaped by what your family actually needs.

Full portfolio management on a transparent, flat-fee basis — with a fiduciary obligation to act in your family's interest. Investment Policy Statement design, performance reporting, and ongoing oversight.
Coaching, financial education, and leadership development for the rising generation — building the confidence and readiness to steward wealth with intention and care.
The foundational documents of your family enterprise — how decisions are made, how disagreements are resolved, and how your values are carried forward through every generation and leadership transition.
Workshops on financial literacy, stewardship, and family enterprise leadership.
Multi-day facilitated retreats for families navigating transitions, vision-setting, or the conversations that have been waiting for the right guide and the right moment.
How We Work
Every engagement begins with listening. We take time to understand your family's history, financial picture, and relationships before we recommend anything. No two families are the same — and no plan should be either.
We learn your family's history, finances, and goals — across every generation.
We identify strengths, gaps, and the dynamics — financial and relational — that need attention.
We build a plan tailored to your family spanning investments, governance, and next-gen development.
We work alongside your existing professionals and facilitate the family meetings that make the plan real.
We walk alongside your family as it grows — adapting the plan as your needs evolve.
Begin the Conversation
We welcome any conversation that may be helpful — whether you know exactly what you need or are just beginning to think through what the right next step looks like for your family.
